He also addressed long-standing challenges in the Islamic banking sector and worked to provide Sharia-compliant alternatives to government-backed initiatives, particularly in support of small investment projects. With over 20 years of experience in Islamic banking and finance, he has made significant contributions to the industry. Sheikh Isa was also an active member in the transformation of Ahli United Bank Bahrain from a conventional bank into an Islamic bank, and he has held several key positions throughout his career.
